ReesRussell is an independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisors based in Witney Oxfordshire.

Like all firms of chartered accountants we offer a comprehensive range of accounting, audit, tax and business advisory services. We act both for private individuals and for businesses of varying size and sector.

We try to differentiate ourselves from other firms of accountants by first discovering and then focusing on the individual needs of our clients. We fit our service to help you to succeed.

We encourage our clients to drop in and see us if they are worrying about something. An appointment is not always necessary; if we are available we will see you there and then. If you telephone we will put you through to the most appropriate person or return your call as soon as we can.

Where you are not based in the immediate locality we will maintain personal contact by telephone, mail or electronically during the year and will meet with you at least once. Should we need to conduct a stock take or similar we can utilise our membership of the
UK200 Group.

Theresa Rees

Theresa is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and has spent over 20 years working with voluntary organisations, individuals and businesses. Theresa has a special interest in charities and the issues affecting small businesses, and her advice is delivered in a pragmatic way, she is also the one to contact if you have queries of a regulatory/technical nature.

Do not be surprised if an element of fun creeps into your meeting as Theresa belongs to a small amateur dramatics group. Roles have been small but varied, and include a nun, a ghost, a pirate and a genie. Theresa is married to Glyn, and they have three grown-up children, Christopher, Sarah and Jonathan.

Jonathan Russell

Jonathan has been a practising accountant for even longer than Theresa and has spent over 30 years advising entrepreneurs and private clients. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and immediate past president of the UK200Group.
Jonathan is particularly interested in the strategic issues of businesses and can often be heard asking “how are you going to exit – you wouldn’t get into a car without knowing your destination!”

Jonathan is also interested in matters legal and the problems arising on divorce or on selling a business. He is a member of the Academy of Experts, an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and an ADR Group accredited mediator. If you need a valuation or some mediation, then Jonathan is the one to contact.
Jonathan lives in Buckland with his wife Valerie and their daughter Victoria. He spends a lot of his spare time doing up and extending his family’s property, but has occasionally been seen on a golf course. Jonathan collects old Land Rovers, and his pride and joy is an original 1949 model which he has owned for over 30 years.
