The principals in ReesRussell were formerly partners in Critchleys, Chartered Accountants, and they decided to start up in Witney when their former partners decided to close their office in the town.

Theresa Rees
Theresa is a highly experienced adviser, who has a proven track record of helping owner-managed businesses and charities to achieve growth and development. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Theresa has spent over 15 years advising voluntary organisations, individuals and businesses. She has a wealth of expertise when it comes to financial essentials such as accounting, audit, tax, VAT and company secretarial work. Theresa is particularly knowledgeable about the issues affecting small businesses and charities, and successfully advises them on strategies for growth. She skillfully combines her in-depth financial expertise with innovative thinking to deliver intelligent solutions. Theresa’s portfolio is varied, taking in businesses, charities, partnerships, sole traders and individuals. Her hands-on, pragmatic approach, sound commercial judgement, and broad experience ensure clients receive the highest quality of advice.
Theresa has recently discovered the joys of amateur dramatics. Roles so far have been small but varied, and she has played a nun (in the Sound of Music), a ghost (Scrooge), a pirate (Peter Pan), a narrator (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat), a rose seller (Oliver), and the Queen Mother in Cinderella. Theresa is married to Glyn, and they have three grown-up children, Christopher, Sarah and Jonathan.
Jonathan Russell
Jonathan is a high calibre adviser who uses his significant expertise to deliver high quality advice to independently-owned businesses. Drawing on his longstanding accountancy and audit experience, he has diversified into litigation support work, providing expert, independent input to legal clients. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and President of the UK200Group, Jonathan has spent over 25 years advising entrepreneurs and private clients. He is also a member of the Academy of Experts, an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and an ADR Group accredited mediator. Jonathan is particularly attuned to the day-to-day and strategic issues of owner-managed businesses. As a business owner himself, he has strong commercial acumen, and takes a pragmatic approach to helping clients achieve their ambitions. Jonathan brings clarity to complex technical information, and is a polished speaker who lectures on subjects as diverse as dispute resolution and cashflow.
Jonathan lives in Buckland with his wife Valerie and their daughter Victoria. He spends a lot of his spare time doing up and extending his family’s property, but has occasionally been seen on a golf course. Jonathan collects old Land Rovers, and his pride and joy is an original 1949 model which he has owned for over 25 years.
